Book of the week City of Bones

So I've just recently started reading The Mortal Instruments series of books by Cassandra Clare. Book one is called City of Bones. In this book you get to meet Clary, her best friend Simon, her Mother Jocelyn, Luke, Jace, Isabelle, Alec, and a few more characters. Clary and her Mother Jocelyn live in an apartment and Jocelyn's friend Luke is the closest thing to a father figure that she has, Clary was told that her real father was killed in an accident. Clary is in a world like many of us, New York noise and commotion. Yet she doesn't know about a whole other world that lives right there among her and her family and friends. A world full of Shadowhunters, Vampires, Werewolves, Warlocks, Faeries, Forsaken, Angels, and Demons. To Clary her life is normal, she goes to school and has the same problems as every teenage girl should have, until one night when she was out with her friend Simon did she start to realize that maybe there was more to this world she lived in. When she see's Jace, Isabelle, and Alec for the first time they are, in her eyes committing a crime. Little does she know she has a lot more in common with these three teenagers than she thinks she'd like to. When her mother goes missing and Luke wants nothing to do with her, her world turns upside down she finds herself all alone with no family to turn to. Her home has been attacked and is now a place of danger for her. She finds out what she is and finds relatives that she knew nothing about. She hurts the person who loves her by falling for someone else, someone she shouldn't want.  She finds that the people that are closest to her aren't who they claim to be and puts her trust in someone who only betrays her in the end.

This book is full of twists and turns that you find yourself sucked into a world that you don't want to escape.
